Who operates Likely

Likely Email (“Likely”, “we” or “us”) is a United Kingdom-based research service. For privacy questions, corrections or objections, contact privacy@likely.email.

What the service does

Likely uses a person’s name, organisation, optional country and organisation website to research public organisation pages and infer a possible work-email format. Results are predictions, not confirmation that a person owns or monitors a mailbox. We do not probe mail servers, send email or maintain a contact directory.

Information we process

  • Names, organisations, countries and domains submitted for a lookup.
  • Public organisation-page content, public DNS responses and evidence links needed to produce the result.
  • A strictly necessary browser cookie containing only the UTC date on which a free result was used.
  • Short-lived hosting and security logs, which may contain IP address, user agent, time and requested route.

Lookup inputs and inferred addresses are processed to answer the request and are not intentionally stored in a reusable contact database.

Purposes and lawful bases

We process lookup data to provide the service and protect it from misuse. Depending on the context, we rely on legitimate interests in operating a proportionate business-research tool, taking steps to prevent abuse, and responding to user requests. Visitors remain responsible for establishing their own lawful basis before using a result.

Public sources and service providers

Sources may include an organisation’s public website, public DNS, Wikidata and official government-domain registers. Infrastructure providers may process limited technical data on our behalf, including Vercel and, when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile. These providers may process data outside the UK under their applicable safeguards.

Retention

The free-use cookie expires at the next midnight UTC. Application research caches are short-lived and are not designed as contact records. Hosting and security logs are retained only for the periods configured by our infrastructure providers and as reasonably needed to investigate abuse or security incidents.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. You may also ask us to suppress a particular inferred work address from future results. Contact privacy@likely.email. UK residents may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and changes

Likely currently uses only a strictly necessary daily-limit cookie and does not use advertising cookies. If analytics or optional cookies are added, this notice and any consent controls will be updated. We may update this notice as the service develops.
